Released a new old song on DJDigitalpool called “A Life We Dare to Keep”. Suddenly realized this should be the next Spotify release instead of Trophy for Your Shelf wich may now come later in the year. Really have to work on a different version of “Walking With the King”. Only out on SoundCloud right now. It appears that the most popular version of “Our Greatest Wealth' was the Tik-Tok Video. Recorded a new song ”Prayin" in the studio this weekend. Waiting for the final version and then hopefully a video for local State TV station KQED.
Okay, whew! Took a minute to get here. Let me fastrack to the song “If There Was a Rose” coming out on Spotify in ten hours!! Already working on the next song “Our Greatest Wealth”. We released “Game of Dreams” and “Sweet Smell of Decay” on DJ Digital Pool. Still figuring out what will be next on SoundCloud. Also, need to attend to and update our ReverbNation account. It's like Tron or The Matrix being a musician / producer these days!! Love you, need you, appreciate you!!
Hope Distrokid gets it right this time! Releasing Dreamz of a Wize Man. Due out mid-December. Thank you Spotify for keeping the Acoustic Astronaut Love Alive! We are on over 20 Spotify Playlists! Thank you Jesus! Praise you Lord! We have a hundred thousand spins over the last year from all over the world including South Africa and France. Even getting some love from China! Woo! Music breaking sound barriers! Peace, Love & Music!
Change of plan. Although the decision is questionable. We decided to ramp up from Sweet Ammunition instead of exploding from it with the hard rock song so the current new releases on SoundCloud include Shattered Electric and Time is Leaving. Coming on Spotify is If There Was a Rose. Next up on SoundCloud will be Bank in Budai. Hoping this new group of songs with a renewed creative streak and burst get into some ears that enjoy. Truth is we are using SoundCloud as a place to store our catalogue of songs. Unless we heavily promote a song no-one really notices or cares. It is a bit liberating to acknowledge that. Will do our best to promote Rose. Love you, need you and God Bless You!!
Just sent Calling the Man to Spotify :)
Struggling to get new material released amidst health issues :( however Sweet Ammunition Ibiza Mix is not available on Sound Cloud :)
Just released DM XDream Mix to what used to be DJ Digital Pool. Now it's called Music Push or something like that. Oh I did by a cool EP from Brett Newski. Next I'm gonna get some gear. Can't wait to pull up James Mcmurtry. Been having that itch. Let's see… Likely taking a good break from writing and slowing down song production. These last few years have been a HUGE Blessing. Getting so many listens and basically just getting my music (our music) out there. Thank you listeners. Thank you fans. Keep us somewhere on a playlist. Give us some love. Not to proud to ask. Love you. Need you.
Just added lyrics to Spotify's Sweet Ammunition. Should have done this much earlier. Lesson learned. There actually are a lot of moving parts in music creation and promotion! Anyhoo Scooby Doo, anticipating the releases for the rest of the year!! Excited. Oh!! There will be a new video coming to YouTube soon for the Ibiza Mix!!! Woo hoo. It will actually be the first release of the song!!!
The track Sweet Ammunition Ibiza Mix is ready to go however may not be released until August or September since two versions of the song came out in May. The plan is to work on the upcoming Room Full of Angels, title still negotiable. Release that and then release Sweet Ammo Ibiza Mix. If we were popular enough I would take a poll or something however our Spotify account has definitely blown up a couple of times this year so for that we are grateful. Excited to be planning for songs 4 & 5 for 2025. It is gratifying to have stumbled upon the Ibiza Mix of Sweet Ammunition :) :) :) Love you, love the World, pray for World Peace, be kind to your family and friends.
Currently working on the Ibiza Mix of Sweet Ammunition which is now going to be the alpha release of this song. Getting ready to do the guitars on Room Full of Angles.
God Bless you!
So one month of Google Ads all around the Far East with great response except some glitch in Turkey… I know why most musicians avoid marketing. One it's expensive. Two the learning curve is steep. And three it feels like your selling your soul. The upside silver lining good news is that as you learn you learn to get more for dollar. So this one month of very productive marketing cost about $100!! That is amazing. Building the ad was a lot of work. It took me about a month with my other commitments. Gonna listen to the scratch track of Sweet Ammunition formerly known as I Found Love. The mastered version should be in soon. Then what has become a standard procedure is to send it out for mixes. Then release the mixes before the Angelic, Buddha or Sugar Honey mix. This is fun!!
Focusing our marketing where they seem to love us the most. The Far East!!! We love you too!! Thank you!!!
Pant pant… In Heaven Buddha Mix apparently was released on Spotify in a different artists Spotify page! Luckly Distrokid actually had an online template to help remedy that specific situation… don't think we realized how much it would interrupt our flow for the year if we had to pull that song back and re-release it. Just sent a guitar track to Misha in Ukraine… hoping this all works out. Honestly, it's a change of plan after our Spotify plays went up over 5,000% for the song previously called “I Found Love”. The song has about 20-30k plays already… even if a new mix didn't get released… the loss would be the expense. We are now on Numerous Spotify playlists and our listener base seems to continue to grow. What a great blessing!!! As young musicians I don't think we knew the importance of having people actually listen to our songs! We are so very grateful to have hundreds of listeners per day on all of our various streaming platforms. Special shoutouts to SoundCloud and Spotify!! Thank you Fans!!! We love you!!!
We want to thank our Spotify listener who picked up our Song “I Found Love” to the tune of a 5,000% increase in spins and over a 100% increase in fans.
Choosing to hold off releasing the Buddha Mix of In Heaven until it goes live on Spotify. Need to rename the song :( just not sure if that's a good idea during promotion…? ugh…
In Heaven Buddha Mix releasing on Spotify Mid March is the first studio appearance of Acoustic Astroanut frontman, Dave Alyassin, in over ten years. Recorded at Santa Fe Soundworks with Chief Engineer David Cragin at the helm. Alyassin sang into an AKG 251 mic which was later processed through a harmonizer. Alyassin played a late 70s Hohner acoustic guitar made by “Morris” in Japan, the same guy that made Prince's Telecaster. Cragin added the ethereal electric guitar lead using a Gibson Les Paul, played with an Ebow into a Vox AC30 Amp. For some reason we slowed the tempo way down. You can actually tell in the guitar playing that it was challenging. Also, the placement of the bridge was spontaneous to the session. The ending also. Hoping some listeners enjoy this Buddah mix.
Holy Guitar Tuners Batman, I Found Love just skyrocketed to almost two thousand listens in about 48 hours! Pow! Boom! Kabang!
Getting ready to release the No Tec Mix to DJ Digital Pool. Finally honed in on the right image… that took a minute. Now to dress it up for the release :)
Realizing that “In Heaven” sounds good loud. Either way it is likely the next Spotify release… it's kinda slow and meditative. Then planning on recording “Room Full of Angels”. That is likely to be the first big production of 2025! Me, I am nervous… that may be a good sign. Love you, need you! Blessings!Just released DM XDream Mix to what used to be DJ Digital Pool. This has been great fun. I wish I could go on and on. Shout out to FIVERR for somehow getting so many talented musicians to put on board. I feel that my songwriting has been heard around the world. I also don't think it's productive to act young and seek some kind of further breakthrough. Happy to be where it is and where the Lord let it fall. I am actually looking forward to somewhat moving on into more cozy accomplishments simply as a listener of music once again. There is some just off the charts talent out there! I have so much home business and care to accomplish! Peace, love and groove beans. I likely will still do one last song this year as planned, Room Full of Angels." Blessings!!
Wow, sorry for the delay in updating. Work and health issues abound :( however the blessing outweigh the hardship :) anyhoot, we are pleased and surprised at the reception of our song In Heaven. It hit some radio stations in South Africa and BOOM. We've gained followers and such which is awesome. Looking at Sweet Ammunition and especially related to the time invested the song really hasn't done that great. So far the Parallel Universe Mix has done the best. Even though, we will release the Ibiza mix this year and then it's into new arenas with Room Full of Angels.

Will be exclusively adding Sweet Ammunition Ibiza Mix to the Electronic Press Kit (EPK) page and DJ Digital Pool. May not be released on Spotify until late July or August.
It turns out that the Ibiza Mix is the best of all the mixes by my tastes. I did re-listen to th Original Mix a day or two ago and was surprised at how good it was. However, since the Parallel Universe Mix was already released on Spotify and Digital DJ Pool and the Original Mix is releasing on Spotify in a couple of days there needs to be some breathing room before releasing Ibiza… interesting, everything is so unexpected. Also, I layered some of the original track recorded in my bedroom / office in 2010 underneath this Ibiza Mix. Wild times.
Currently working on the Ibiza Mix of Sweet Ammunition which is now going to be the alpha release of this song. Getting ready to do the guitars on Room Full of Angles.
Wow. Just released Sweet Ammunition Parallel Universe Mix. In about 3 weeks comes the Original Mix on Spotify. The Wild Card is that I received an unexpected sublime Ibiza Mix. It's so simple that it pops. The plan is to let the dust settle from the PU mix and even perhaps the OM. Timing is everything so the Ibiza Mix has to come down at the right time!! Exciting times indeed! Who knew that Acoustic Astronaut would be doing this well in 2025. Well is super relative however the Lord is an ever present guide and an encourager to enjoy the glorious riches of His sound reaching ears. In Heaven has done incredibly well!! Love you, need you and God Bless you!

Okay so the submission to John Long has been made. He is a Godly man and you hear it in his voice. The song formerly known as I Found Love will be re-released as a full production ala Destruction Mill and called Sweet Ammunition. Honestly, I've learned over the years to hope for the best and know that things don't always work out however the formula here has a blossoming track record. So yes, I am hopeful. Let the marketing begin :)

Just did it :)

Okay so re-re-releasing Saving My Dream is not going well… :( The re-release of Destruction Mill however was amazing!! Still have a box of signed CD's of the remasters which will go out as promo-material to hopefully upper crust in the biz. That would be anyone who listens to our stuff, lol. So instead of focusing on the re-release of Here Comes God we are moving onto In Heaven. Both the Angelic Mix and the Lotec Mix. Have some very important personal things going on before any of that happens so signing off for now!!!
Listened to it again and also listened to my daughter Anya's first professionally recorded song called “Shattering the Confines.” It brought tears to my eyes. I will be having it remastered by Joe P soon. Likely to release “In Heaven” soon. There is one beat remix of that likely to hit DJ Digital Pool. Thanks fans for all the love for DM XDream Mix. Wow. It still is topping our charts! Thank you!!!
Considering releasing “In Heaven”.
Website visits plummet without Google Ads or some other sort of direct promotion :( We are however thrilled that we have so many more daily listeners than ever!! That is huge! Also, we are a little surprised that the Angelic mixes are so well received… let's say relative to the recent Helix Filter Mix of Saving My Dream. I think from our standpoint the EDM downtempo mixes are newer to us and in some ways more exciting. I guess overall people have had enough of dance mixes but stuff like Azuxena and Kharili are def on my playlist AND are super popular. Anyhow, like if someone like them sampled a song of ours… well you know… it would change everything… gotta go, love you!!!
Submitting the stems of Saving My Dream to Aman in India for a 5 minute beat track. Yay!
All in all the re-release of Destruction Mill was very successful. Now comes Saving My Dream! I never thought I would be re-releasing these!! I have always been a forward moving songwriter with new songs at the shore of every moment. Now there are re-mixes, re-masters that I publish as re-mixes, new sound, new art, new venues and I am overwhelmed. FINALLY getting the new packets together for USPS… exclusive sends only… either way these are literally like Christmas Presents, in a big box and all. Hopefully will be able to post some pics!! Here comes 2025!!! Off to the marathon, not just for us but for all aspiring musicians around the globe. Music should be considered it's own life form… lol.
The fans that love us stream our music a lot. That is what we're picking up from the stats. Thank you fans!!! We love you, we need, we trust you!!!
Grateful to be on Kerry's Top 10 https://t.co/kjCx9kHosQ
New song, In Heaven, recorded using a late 70s Hohner guitar made by “Morris” in Japan - the same guy that made Prince's “Telecaster”, (See also “Madcat”), and a Gibson Les Paul played with an Ebow into a Vox AC30 amp through various delay devices. We used an AKG 251 Mic and a harmonizer for the vocals.
Doing a hard remaster on In Heaven Angelic Mix. This is the first time I actually went into a recording studio and recorded my vocals in about 15 years. It came pretty naturally considering. It's not better or worse than the non-me playing and singing recordings, just different. Because I am getting older it's paramount to step out on a ledge, be brave and get back to my roots a little. Still looking to record Room Full of Angels the new modern way of having others do the 2nd heavy lift of recording and initial production. Thank you fans. Love you, need you, please tell others about AA and the XDream mix of Destruction Mill; the song that broke us out of the dark cold nothingness. Peace.
Acoustic Astronaut is a folk-pop band based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The band is led by Dave Alyassin, who is the songwriter and executive producer. They are known for creating high-quality pop songs and have been recognized by platforms like VH1's Save the Music Foundation, Sirius XM, and the New Mexico Music Awards.
Their music has been featured on various compilation albums and Spotify playlists, and they have a diverse fan base around the world. Some of their popular tracks include "Natures Shocking Kind," "Lightenin & Thunderin," and "The Gift". - Bing
I tried to remain true to this original imagery that came out with the original mix in 2023. The new mastered version is literally like a new mix. It is way up front, way clear and the balance between the highs and the lows is sooooo much better. Hope you get a chance to listen and enjoy!

DM XDream Mix 8k spins, 250 likes, 100 reposts and 75 comments on SoundCloud Releasing on December 11th on Spotify!!! Max Jones of the Source Max Jones (@maxJonesxm) / X publishing Acoustic Astronaut article :) Prepping Racecar Promo Card for this Throwback Thursday… (drumroll here).
Got the remastered CDs. Spotify will release DM XDream Mix on Dec 11. Will update website then. Google Ads going out this weekend with focus on India and the Phillipenes. Thank you for the love!! So grateful! Blessing to our fragile planet during the Holiday Season. May Peace prevail around the world. May wars simply stop throughout the world.
Remastered XDream Mix CD's of Destruction Mill, Saving My Dream & Here Comes God are on the way. Only 40! One going to Hands of Time Band Leader Mark Bauman in San Francisco. Will likely send another on to Taylor lol. Working with Pi on lists to send to. One will go to Eugene. This is the way the songs should have been released originally! No way to know that they would be so popular. The re-release may go well or not and honestly either way Aoustic Astronaut is good. We have everyday listeners on Soundcloud and Spotify along with some other sites. That was the goal in 2022-2023. Goal accomplished. Next step. Move up in terms who we are contacting. The lower tier hamster wheel is fun (and expensive). Ready to reach up.
Recording session with Anya & David Cragin at Santa Fe Soundworks for a song of Anyas. I was the introducer. Great, amazing recording session. Nice to reconnect with David Cragin.
Just had a very cool conversation with Eugene Foley with Eugene Foley Entertainment. He affirmed our / my path on this very long and interesting musical journey. As much as I want to get some new material on tape, there is going to be another push to promote the successful trio of songs; Destruction Mill, Saving My Dream & Here Comes God. All are being remastered and the jewel case art is being decorated. The CD's may go on sale for $20 each however primarily they will be distributed to key artists and individuals. Not so much to companies and radio stations. Peace, love and the Lord above.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Gotta love ‘em. Gotta love ’em. I don't listen to Beyonce. It's not for lack of trying. I have to respect her popularity because it means her music is good for her fans! I mean that! Every time I hear a song or see a video of hers, I have this immediate compulsion to turn it off immediately. Love you Beyonce. Not judging. I'm sure you would feel the same way about our tunes. On other news, we are considering going back to DistroVid… it's $100 year. We xclld b4 knowing there was a reasonable revenue stream, and we were not aware of how much exposure we were getting from DV.
That was fun. Unexpectedly motivating. I just got off the phone with Megan Ballard with Indie Roadmap. Great conversation. WONDERFUL to talk to someone who is 100% music focused. For most people, including me, music is a side gig. Just not in my heart. For $40 / month it seems worth it to run with it for a few months. I have spent GOBS AND GOBS of money over the years. Throwing a few more dollars into the burning pit won't change a thing. I did mention that I feel the song Destruction Mill is deserving for spins on Sirius XM Coffeehouse… reaching out about that. Trying to think about a bigger box maybe?
On some days I somewhat iterate some of the news that's out there in hopes that search engines pick up this site a bit more however it doesn't seem to be helping. It's still feels good to keep up with the basic, albeit sometimes random music news. American pop music was hijacked in the 60's. Actually way before that but different types of artists are taken advantage of in different ways upon new generations of musicians. At our level there are thousands upon thousands of quote promoting agencies and all they want is your money. Taxi has thousands of my dollars. That was theft. Spotify is on the hot seat and maybe we haven't been paid a lot but at least they actually play our tunes and track so much that it helps. American Songwriter is another ripoff. Ugh. Again, so much money to them, sad. Reverb nation upgrade is a ripoff. The free version is fine. Anyhow, in the news Joni Mitchell because she's 81and Led Zepplin I think because it's an anniversary of their debut album with Black Dog and the story of the dog that would reappear near their studio every morning pretty worn out and then sojurn back out at night.
Quincy Jones: “live today like it is your last day, one day you'll be right.” Thriller and Off the Wall by Michael Jackson and so much more. A force in all of our lives to be commended and appreciated.
Okay so yeah actually did send a CD to Taylor Swift. Have 2 meetings, one with Megan Ballard with Indy RoadMap and one with Eugene Foley a pretty much famous music promoter. I think ReverbNation finally realized after it was to late to save their bank for me that I have been essentially ostracized from their pay program. Free RN is an okay promotional tool but to pay for their services is throwing money away. SoundCloud on the other hand, I just renewed my Pro-Membership with them. They actually create playlists which include about 4 or 5 AA songs. It's very cool. Still need to budget in DJ Digital Pool. They are great as well but sadly I am not yet a member. Even their free ship has promoted our material amazingly around the world including to the Hard Rock Cafe franchise.
Reached out to Musicbed even though they are not technically accepting unsolicited new material. Actually, I got hold of Client Specialist Raquel who sent me an artist submission form. Yay! Thanks Raquel! Also reached out to Music Vine… so that means two applications to music management companies before noon today!!
Considering sending the 3 song EP to Brian Eno, Trent Reznor, Daniel Lanois & Beck!
Just received an email from Universal Music Group. They have a bunch of Taylor Swift stuff for sale. Then I went to Taylor's site and studied it. Then I edited my site to be a bit clearer, like Taylor's. I still left my email signup at the top of my home page even though Taylor's is at the bottom of hers. I am like a gnat and Taylor is like Godzilla.
Acoustic Astronaut will be releasing a new video of Love Will Succeed Angelic Mix. Interestingly enough it was created through a miscommunication between Dave Alyassin & his Video Editor Guido Blanco. And then even more surprising is that it came out great! I mean perfect. The other release that is holding steady on Soundcloud and DJ Digital Pool is Destruction Mill Code 6 which has not been released on Spotify. So this week / weekend a couple of basic releases coming. Further in the background a remix of Saving My Dream and the beginning promo art for Room Full of Angels which may be coming out at the end of this year! God willing! Praise God! Love you my listeners. We are profoundly grateful for each and every one of you!
Sad news about Liam Payne of the Backstreet Boys :( Gosh! It reminds me of how many times I came so close to perishing at the hands of impulsivity or just simple expression of anguish. RIP Liam!
I've never been a fan of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Still, I'm always happy for bands like Foreigner & Peter Frampton when they get in.
Watched a number of Steve Perry interviews from a few years back on YouTube. Also watched some footage of a recent Journey concert. I really enjoyed hearing from Perry. The concert footage was okay but at some point, about 40 minutes in I sub-consciously realized that Journey was trying to hang on to the things and type of things that brought them mega-success. It's understandable. The style and sound of the songs was dreary to my ears. It was too formulaic. What happened to evolution? Steve on the other hand… wow. Walked away from the epicenter of the storm. If you have a smidgen of imagination, you know that was not easy. 10/7/2024.
Sometimes we miss the mark. Sometimes I miss the mark. I remember when I discovered Jackson Browne. I’ve been an avid fan ever since. I was in shock that I had not “discovered” him earlier. I am wondering if the same thing is going to happen with Kris Kristofferson. Now that he has passed away. I don’t think I realized that Shawn Mullins was covering Sunday Morning Coming Down. It was the first time that song hit home with me… not even Johnny Cash’s version lassoed me. I am looking forward to listening carefully to that song again. 10/3/2024.
Watched a lot of Mark Farner videos over the weekend. He has a new album coming out called Closer to My Home. He has always been charismatic, and he speaks well. I am looking forward to hearing the album including the remake of I'm Your Captain. I've always been a fan of GFR because they were one of the few rockin' American Bands on the scene as the Beatles were breaking up. Also saw Paul McCartney do Hey Jude, like earlier this month. It made me cry. Lastly, I saw the Eagles do Desperado in the Las Vegas Super Dome… that was even more moving than Hotel California. Acoustic Astronaut is slowly eeking toward their next release… at some point Room Full of Angels will happen… Oh, also we are starting the MASA movement, Make America Saved Again… If I can be saved, America can be saved.
Submitted demos to A-F Records in Baltimore, Activate Entertainment in North Hollywood and Alternative Tentacles in San Francisco.
Each musician has their own path yet is indirectly connected to Sean Diddy Combs, JD Southern, Linda Ronstadt & Penelope Cruz. Just sayin’ Michael Jackson’s Thriller has surpassed a billion views on YouTube. Having committed to maintaining a musical life as much as possible, we do pay attention. Music is very personal so each person that sees Thriller takes in a unique experience. Acoustic Astronaut is grateful for the resurgence that Destruction Mill, Saving My Dream & Here Comes God have brought. In a couple of days, Love Will Succeed the Angelic Mix will be on Spotify, SoundCloud and ReverbNation. The Angelic Mix itself has two re-mastered versions. Hoping some ears get some enjoyment. We were thrilled to release Love Will Succeed the Satellite Mix which was heard by 854 DJs across the country and 39 clubs. It was downloaded by 42 DJs, Including Hard Rock Cafes across the country, THANK YOU! These are small successes and small steps which in our minds are like giant leaps.
In the throwes of promoting LWS Angelic Mix. To be released on Spotify on the 25th! It's always a gamble, hit or miss, never to be predicted. LWS Satellite Mix seems to still be gaining momentum and has been heard in rotation at the Hard Rock Cafe! That's was cool! DM Angelic Mix and and I Found Love are front runners on Spotify right now. Hollywood, Los Angeles, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well a 2026 Grammy Nomination are in the works.
Honored for the listeners and fans that have evolved over the years. I was a scrawny scratchy troubled late blooming teen, and I distinctly remember each time people responded to my songs. To this day I am grateful. I can't always see the response many times however I have been on this road long enough to gauge the impact these songs are having. It is a small and perfectly beautiful impact that I do not take for granted. Expression has taken a back seat to Positive Expression as much as possible. I don't really filter my creativeness, but I am more discerning about what I release since the positiveness is important. With that being said, the song Destruction Mill was originally recorded 10 years ago!! My new material does not venture down those vibrant but murky paths. The song Here Comes God was written in 2023. It hits hard but does not denigrate or degrade. So, it's a fina lina baby. Live long and prosper!
Updated Spotify & Soundcloud Playlists. Promoting the 3 Song EP which is actually on YouTube, Spotify & SoundCloud. Promoting the Spotify Playlists has actually resulted in our account lifting above being completely ignored. Considering a local ad in the Santa Fe Reporter to boost Spotify plays. Google Ads work however is too costly to run continuously. Had a magical and anointed Worship at Peoples Church of Santa Fe this Sunday: (20+) Facebook . Grateful to have some song activity. May our songs honor our Lord & Savior.
Released God Smiling on You today on DJ Digital Pool. That was fun. Will release to Distrokid over the weekend and then throw down on SoundCloud and ReverbNation. Will be looking at which radio stations to consider requesting rotation of LWS Satellite Mix. We are glad to see the success of that song with over 2,500 plays including the clubs Hard Rock Cafe, Bayou Room, Bean Runner Cafe, Bedroom Beach, Crabtree Valley Mall and the Dirty Martini Oakville. Thanks to WIZB, KYYO, CJLO and WZMR for their support. Special thanks to Space Age Timmy, Elliot King and DJ Roxwell for their spins and love.
This was a fun video to make however the result is due to scrapping every original plan for the video. It still came out great. Hope you enjoy!!
Gosh! Tired, exhuasted, somewhat defeated. The realization that without new material things slow down. Nibbles of attention are still appreciated. The momentum is appreciated. The productions are appreciated. The gift of love. The gift of life. Check out this song https://open.spotify.com/album/1KlZhIEqZ8AZiB1qM7pIMw?si=c4UTCuUcT_qe1Yi9iVSy4A and the video. This was an early release in the re-vitalization of the songs written by Dave Alyassin. It is interesting how the marketing strategy exploded over 2023-2024. Now though, the funding for new material is on hold :( I hope that one or two peeps get some satisfaction from this song and video. It is still meaningful to me. Hoping to get to Digital DJ Pool and release some pop material there. Saving My Dream and Here Comes God. We have an old track which used to be called All of the Signs. We may re-release this under the title God Smiling on You. Sounds so cheesy but it's actually a cool acoustic rock song with an edge :) for reals. Love you. Gotta go. Peace.
Grateful to be alive. Our feline fan Murphy is doing much better! Yea! In the name of Jesus Christ prayers go out to the Emory's as our bandmember recently suffered a stroke and is recovering. People's Church of Santa Fe is having a yard sale this Saturday 8-1 at 509 Camino de Los Marquez. Realizing the unimportance of so much that has been and still is but in a different way important to me personally. I have been writing songs since 1978. That's about 44 years! I am currently working on 3-4 songs. The one that stands out is called “On the Highways”. It's kind of a country tune. The other is called “Destroyer of Dreams”. Not sure how that will play out. Will be adding a link or tab for People's Church of Santa Fe. A true blessing in my life. A gift. Okay peeps, gotta get ready for non-musical work!! Love you, Peace, dreams, live long and prosper! September 2024.
Submitted Social Media Links to James Arthur with Active Entertainment in Hollywood CA :) In the process of stretching out the next releases. Financial reasons. Quick note, the song LWS Satellite Mix has not been as popular as anticipated. Received well however nothing like the original releases of Destruction Mill, Saving My Dream & Here Comes God. All now under the Angelic Mix catagory. I myself hear LWS Satellite Mix and it gets my blood flowing every time. Also to note that Destruction Mill Code 6 (Mix) has been getting some love on SoundCloud. Anyhow, just a reminder of what is planned next, first a remix of Saving My Dream and then a full blown production of a song called Room Full of Angels. Be blessed, have a wonderful day and week, stay strong and know that you are loved!
Sent demos to A-F Records in Pittsburgh!
Birthday of our Songwriter & Executive Producer Dave. Happy Birthday Dave! From the original home cassette recordings of Rising Wind, Mumia, My Blood is Boiling to now. May your journey through the stars in the sky and the stars in Los Angeles continue with the blessings and grace of Jesus Christ. Set the 1st email campaign from Bandzoogle. Thank you. The top supporter of Acoustic Astronaut's music are SoundCloud and DistroKid. The site through Bandzoogle is very user friendly… GoDaddy site more cumbersome and not as cool looking. That's at www.acousticastronaut.com At the end of the day if we can give solace and enjoyment to one person, we've succeeded, like love.
Unfortunately, one of our feline cat supporters was diagnosed with cancer yesterday :( It put things in perspective. Hoping that our continued efforts to reach out to big and small media, TV, magazines, radio, Sirius SM, Hollywood and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame make a small difference for someone's ears. This is not about self-attention or self-adulation. It used to be but not any more. It's only about sharing songs and appreciating those who appreciate. Thanks to some shelved tracks that once dusted off made us a little famous here we are. Thank you Destruction Mill, Saving My Dream and Here Comes God. The next dusty track on our radar is called Room Full of Angels. Not an original title but the track has some attitude and we are excited to give it a chance to breathe. Collaborors in the Music Mystery will be the same co-conspiritors that have helped to catapult us up; John Long, Misha K and Aman! The next remix will be Saving My Dream! Thank you! We Love You!
Request in with Accidental Entertainment, Adam Moseley, President, & Rosie Forster, A&R Manager to submit Acoustic Astronaut material for representation consideration. Also reached out to 1 Soundtrack Central; Jay Warsinske & Madeleine Smith.
Submitted music to 300 Entertainment and 4AD Records. Data provided by Music Connection Magazine. Also submitted Camera Man Destroyer Mix to WeGet Artist's request for a Steely Dan like song. Never hurts to Dream. It's easy to forget that 5 years ago our music was dead. Now we have daily listeners from around the world. Spain contains our newest fanbase. Thank you!! We love you!
Finally released Here Comes God Soft Torpedo Mix. Hoping it makes into the ears of some appreciators. Right now, things are at a low ebb for Acoustic Astronaut. Getting this site up and running is challenging. India is currently our most popular draw for listeners. Grateful. Radio, Hollywood, Movies, Taylor Swift videos are all part of this journey. Thinking of releasing a press page on this site. About to check out Eminem and Jelly Roll vid, Somebody Save Me. I'm in tears. Okay gotta go. Love you.

After a rough day yesterday on a personal level and my daughter being involved in a car accident, I slept poorly last night. She is okay, thanks be to God. With that, the long awaited release of LWS (Love Will Succeed) Radiance Mix YouTube video was released. We all were pleasantly surprised at the reception the simple yet very well produced Satellite Mix vid. This will soon be distributed around the world including hot spots, India, Sweeden, Germany, Mexico and Nigeria. Stay tuned and as always we are grateful for your radio and playlist support. Enjoy the tunes, hoping they make their way into some vulnerable ears and hearts!
Released DM Code 6 on Spotify. Already out on DJ Digital Pool. Rotating on stations and watering holes around the globe. Grateful to be on multiple SoundCloud playlists with various songs including DM Angelic Mix, My Faith and LWS Satellite Mix. Honored to be gaining momentum on Spotify. Bandzoogle has been great in developing a new more cutting edge website specifically designed for musicians. Can't not mention Distrokid. Even with many of their cryptic ways they have been a blessing. Apple Music has been a constant low hum over the years. YouTube has been amazing. Google Ads has given me much more control as an artist. Is it free? No. Can I budget carefully? Yes. The global goal over the last 2 years as been to get music in ears. Working on it. Thank you listeners!!
Hollywood, the five and dime is one of the featured lyrics in Here Comes God Soft Torpedo Remix.
A lot of focus goes into what to do next. In some ways I feel like we belong to the Swan Song label like Bad Company or Led Zepplin. It's our own level of success that is pure as Mercury and pure as Gold. Behind the Song was one of the best pages of American Songwriter. I still spend my weekends scouring YouTube or Tubi looking for a new Bio. One of the most interesting is Lynyrd Skynyrd. Tom Petty, Deep Purple, Matteo Mancuso… great producers such as Alan Parsons, Bob Erzin, George Martin & Quincy Jones. Very grateful to be on 32 playlists on Soundcloud including Music Prime, Great Vibe, Artist Planet and Kerry's Indie Family!
Music is an Earthly & Heavenly endeavor. I am fortunate to still be motivated to create music however in large part I enjoy the promotional aspect of music. And the visual aspect. I still envision our videos on Amazon Fire Stick's Music Videos. I still envision hearing a song of ours on Sirius XM Coffeehouse or on Coast to Coast's Upcoming Artists. Even though I'm pretty much about to die. It's all good. At least we broke through the Thin Golden Line of no-one listening to some people listening on a regular basis. As a marketer I want to ride the wave without glomming onto the shimmering hues of success.
Been having a good time with LWS Satellite YouTube video. Surprising that there was a small listening spree. The video is kinda cool and actually does fit the satellite theme. I just reached out to Aman K and he will be receiving the stems to Saving My Dream. I also have been considering doing a remix of I Found Love. It's just that it's quite the antithesis of Love Will Succeed. IFL written and recorded in about 2005; LWS written and recorded in 2024 illuminates how people change. I still enjoy listening to I Found Love because at least the lyrics are creative and maybe clever but Love Will Succeed is Light Years ahead in terms of elevated song dust. Pre-September Updates 2024.
