Just made a video of a song called Prayin'. Hoping there is a better response than our latest release A Life We Dare to Keep. Although tight, clean & creative, it may not have enough rebelliousness? Not sure. With that point in mind, the song Sweet Smell of Decay seems to have some traction. Stay tuned for the release of Prayin' and the release on Spotify and the video premiered on KQED in Albuquerque.
Released a new old song on DJDigitalpool called “A Life We Dare to Keep”. Suddenly realized this should be the next Spotify release instead of Trophy for Your Shelf wich may now come later in the year. Really have to work on a different version of “Walking With the King”. Only out on SoundCloud right now. It appears that the most popular version of “Our Greatest Wealth' was the Tik-Tok Video. Recorded a new song ”Prayin" in the studio this weekend. Waiting for the final version and then hopefully a video for local State TV station KQED.

Change of plan. Although the decision is questionable. We decided to ramp up from Sweet Ammunition instead of exploding from it with the hard rock song so the current new releases on SoundCloud include Shattered Electric and Time is Leaving. Coming on Spotify is If There Was a Rose. Next up on SoundCloud will be Bank in Budai. Hoping this new group of songs with a renewed creative streak and burst get into some ears that enjoy. Truth is we are using SoundCloud as a place to store our catalogue of songs. Unless we heavily promote a song no-one really notices or cares. It is a bit liberating to acknowledge that. Just released DM XDream Mix to what used to be DJ Digital Pool. Now it's called Music Push or something like that. Oh I did by a cool EP from Brett Newski. Next I'm gonna get some gear. Just added lyrics to Spotify's Sweet Ammunition. Should have done this much earlier. Lesson learned. There actually are a lot of moving parts in music creation and promotion! Anyhoo Scooby Doo, anticipating the releases for the rest of the year!! Excited. Oh!! There will be a new video coming to YouTube soon for the Ibiza Mix!!! Woo hoo. It will actually be the first release of the song!!!
The track Sweet Ammunition Ibiza Mix is ready to go however may not be released until August or September since two versions of the song came out in May. The plan is to work on the upcoming Room Full of Angels, title still negotiable. Release that and then release Sweet Ammo Ibiza Mix. If we were popular enough I would take a poll or something however our Spotify account has definitely blown up a couple of times this year so for that we are grateful. Excited to be planning for songs 4 & 5 for 2025. So one month of Google Ads all around the Far East with great response except some glitch in Turkey… I know why most musicians avoid marketing. One it's expensive. Two the learning curve is steep. And three it feels like your selling your soul. The upside silver lining good news is that as you learn you learn to get more for dollar. So this one month of very productive marketing cost about $100!! That is amazing. Building the ad was a lot of work. It took me about a month with my other commitments. Gonna listen to the scratch track of Sweet Ammunition formerly known as I Found Love. The mastered version should be in soon. Then what has become a standard procedure is to send it out for mixes. Then release the mixes before the Angelic, Buddha or Sugar Honey mix. This is fun!!

Pant pant… In Heaven Buddha Mix apparently was released on Spotify in a different artists Spotify page! Luckly Distrokid actually had an online template to help remedy that specific situation… don't think we realized how much it would interrupt our flow for the year if we had to pull that song back and re-release it. Just sent a guitar track to Misha in Ukraine… hoping this all works out. Honestly, it's a change of plan after our Spotify plays went up over 5,000% for the song previously called “I Found Love”. The song has about 20-30k plays already… even if a new mix didn't get released… the loss would be the expense. We are now on Numerous Spotify playlists and our listener base seems to continue to grow. What a great blessing!!! As young musicians I don't think we knew the importance of having people actually listen to our songs! We are so very grateful to have hundreds of listeners per day on all of our various streaming platforms. Special shoutouts to SoundCloud and Spotify!! Thank you Fans!!! We love you!!!

Choosing to hold off releasing the Buddha Mix of In Heaven until it goes live on Spotify. Need to rename the song :( just not sure if that's a good idea during promotion…? ugh…
In Heaven Buddha Mix releasing on Spotify Mid March is the first studio appearance of Acoustic Astroanut frontman, Dave Alyassin, in over ten years. Recorded at Santa Fe Soundworks with Chief Engineer David Cragin at the helm. Alyassin sang into an AKG 251 mic which was later processed through a harmonizer. Alyassin played a late 70s Hohner acoustic guitar made by “Morris” in Japan, the same guy that made Prince's Telecaster. Cragin added the ethereal electric guitar lead using a Gibson Les Paul, played with an Ebow into a Vox AC30 Amp. For some reason we slowed the tempo way down. You can actually tell in the guitar playing that it was challenging. Also, the placement of the bridge was spontaneous to the session. The ending also. Hoping some listeners enjoy this Buddah mix.
